Deep Dish Theater Company Announces Plays
The Deep Dish Theater Company’s 2005-2006 season will include a provocative drama about ethnicity and art, classic plays by two of the theater’s most accomplished playwrights, and an acclaimed American comedy.
The season will open with the North Carolina premiere of “Permanent Collection,” a new play about racial politics and artistic integrity, which will run from Aug. 25 through Sept. 17. Noël Coward’s hilarious look at high infidelity, “Private Lives,” will play Oct. 27-Nov. 19, and a revival of “Marvin’s Room,” Scott McPherson’s award-winning comedy about a family struggling with disease, will be presented Feb. 23-March 18. The season will conclude with Bertolt Brecht’s timeless fable, “The Good Person of Szechwan,” playing May 4-27.
