Carolinas Concert Association Gets New Director

The Carolinas Concert Association has announced the appointment of Chase Law as its new executive director, effective July 11.

“Chase brings a terrific set of experiences to CCA, and will be a wonderful addition to our organization,” said Dick Grove, CCA board president.

Law graduated from High Point University with a major in theater arts and a minor in music. She is a native North Carolinian.

Law comes to CCA from the Community School of the Arts, where she has served as development director since 2003. While in that position she was successful in raising a considerable amount of money from foundations and corporations.

She formerly worked at the Jewish Community Center in West Orange, N.J., in development; for Muzak in New York, N.Y., in administration; and in the Fine Arts Department of High Point University.

“She has worked with volunteers and non-profit boards throughout her career,” Grove said. “She is a very positive person who has great work skills, and I know will represent CCA in an exceptional fashion. If her last name sounds familiar, you may know or have guessed that she is married to Ron Law, former CCA executive director.”

Entering its 75th season, Carolinas Concert Association presents world-class orchestras, instrumentalists, vocalists, and dancers to area audiences. CCA was the first organization in Charlotte to present a performing arts series. It is also committed to providing educational opportunities for students to encourage an understanding of and appreciation for the arts. The educational programs are designed to put top performing artists in direct contact with students from middle school through young adults in the Carolinas.
