Elizabeth Chapel Free Will Baptist Church will sponsor its first fashion show fund-raiser Saturday, July 16, at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Denise Core is the chairwoman and president of the missionary department.

Vacation Bible School will be held next week, July 18 through 22, at Poplar Spring Baptist Church from 5 to 7 p.m. All children and adults are encouraged to come. Lovie Jean Little is the chairperson.

Free Liberty United Church of Christ will host the quarterly community church service this month at Poplar Springs Church because its church is still being renovated. Services begin at 11 a.m.

Ethel Little, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Little, was home from New York City. She and her brother, Adam, from Washington, D.C., were home visiting for two weeks.

Maggie Crimmon attended the 113th session of the Southern District No. 1, the Grand United Order of Tents of the J.R. Giddings and Jollifee Union, held June 25 through 30 at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux and Convention Center in Fayetteville. The theme was “Christian Sisters, Facing Life’s Mountains Through Faith, Courage and Prayer.”

Cornelia Adkins was at church on Sunday. Essence McKeithen came home to visit her grandparents for her birthday.

On July 17 at 3 p.m., the Rev. Bethea will preach at Buffalo Springs Baptist Church in Wagram. His choir and members of his congregation will be there to support him.

Lakeview

Refiner’s Fire on U.S. 1 south in Lakeview held its Bible study Monday, July 11. Prophet Jimmy Williams spoke. Regular Sunday services begin at 11 a.m.

St. John’s of Carthage held bible study Tuesday, July 12, with Elder Hooker teaching the lesson.

Following the Sunday service, St. John’s members will travel to Troy for Pastor Shepherd’s anniversary at 3 p.m. Pastor Hooker will be the guest speaker.

Christ Way Deliverance Church in Eastwood will have a Father’s Day program at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 17. The guest speaker will be Bishop Alan Smith from Star of Hope Church. Dinner will be served in the dinner hall following service.

God’s Love in Action Deliverance Ministries in West End will hold Vacation Bible School on July 11 through 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. On Saturday, July 16, there will be a dinner and fashion show, beginning at 5 p.m.

Evangelist Galbrieth’s usher board program will be Sunday, July 17.

The Ministerial Alliance of Taylortown is being reorganized.

The group met Thursday, July 7th. Ministers attending this meeting included the Rev. The 4-H T-Town Teen Club has new officers. They are Sandy Gaddy Jr., president; Justin Gaddy, vice-president; Brant’ne Lambert, secretary; Suave Cain, reporter; Talyn Horton, refreshments coordinator; and Brandon Lambert, recreation leader. Micah Hall and John Sharpe are also members.

The teens will assist the 4-H coordinator, Linda Gore, and other adults with the summer enrichment camp.The camp is free and will be held at the Boler Park Pavilion on Wednesdays, July 13 through Aug. 10, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

Some of the teens will attend the state-wide 4-H congress in Raleigh, July 18-22.

Deliverance services will be held at the House of Prayer on Friday, July 15, at 7 pm. The annual choir anniversary will be held Saturday, July 16, at 6 pm. Evangelist Shereka Drakeford will be the speaker on Sunday, July 17, at 11 a.m. The pastor is Bishop Larry Brown.

Family and friends day will be held at Providence Presbyterian on Sunday, July 17, at 3 p.m. Revival services will be held July 18 through 22 at 7:30 p.m. The pastor is Elder Edward Williams.

The Birthday of the Month Rally will be held at Galilee Missionary Baptist on Sunday, July 17, at 11a.m. The members will present “The 12 Keys.” The Rev. Chris Parker of Fayetteville will deliver the message.

Shaun Williams, the son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Moody, will be the guest on the “Town Talk” television show on Sandhills TV Cable Channel 3 this week.

He is a business owner, musician, youth minister and a member at God’s Love in Action Deliverance Ministries. He is married to the former Jessica Moody.

Body of Christ will have its anniversary July 22. Also at Body of Christ, there will be their annual gospel festival July 23. The Church is on Lemon Springs Road . The pastors are Larry and Mellaine Ray.

On Saturday, July 23, St. Ruth United Church of God in West End will have a community outreach fun day on the church grounds. Everyone is invited to come out and have a good time. There will be food and games. It is free of charge.

St Ruth Loving Day Care is a good safe place to enroll your children. Children are well supervised by three adults.

The Emmanuel Dance team of St. John United Church of God in Carthage will present a night of “Jamming for Jesus” on Saturday, July 13, at 7:30 p.m. Other dance and step teams and youth choirs are invited to participate. Regular worship service was held at God’s House of Prayer Ministry on Sunday. Pastor Mary Kelly is the church pastor. The word came from the Gospel of Matthew 14: 23-33. Her topic was “Stay Focused.”

Bible study will be held tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30, with Pastor Kelly teaching.

There will be two pre-annniversary programs at God’s House of Ministry for Pastor Kelly. The first one will be Thursday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m. Evangelists Delores Swinnie of Holiness Church of Addor will be the guest speaker. The second one will be Friday, July 15, at 7:30 p.m. Prophetess Linda Driver of Psalm 23 Family Worship Center in Cameron will be the guest speaker.

Pastor Kelly will celebrate her pastoral anniversary Saturday, July 23, at 4 p.m. in the auditorium at Vass-Lakeview Elementary School.

The Johnson and Kelly family reunion will be held Saturday, July 16, at Bostic Lake in Candor.

Pastor Kelly and the Gospel Mellowtones will travel to New Birth Nondenomination Inc. in Benson for the anniversary of its pastor, Bishop Martin.

Edward Kelly visited with his uncle, Deacon Freddie Kelly Sr., and his aunt, Carolyn Wilkins, on Sunday.
