Bluegrass Experience Comes To Fair Barn on Monday
Tommy Edwards’ The Bluegrass Experience, performs a free concert Monday afternoon, July 4, at the Fair Barn in Pinehurst.
“Bring your own food, drinks, tables, and chairs to enjoy the outdoors for great family fun,” said a spokesman. There will be games for the kids starting at 5 p.m. and The Bluegrass Experience will perform at 6:45 p.m. There will be free ice cream for everyone.
Tommy and The Bluegrass Experience are from Central North Carolina and have been playing together for several years. They have played in festivals all over North Carolina and throughout the Southeast, at some of the major events which has also showcased Ricky Scaggs, Lonesome River Band, and Del McCoury.
Tommy and his wife, Cindy, live in Pittsboro, and own an antique shop called Edwards Antiques and Collectibles. Tommy is a former educator in Chatham County and has served on many educational, arts, and cultural boards and committees throughout North Carolina.
Tommy Edwards recently became host for the WLHC-FM Life 103.1 “Bluegrass Saturday Night” show from 7 to 9 p.m. every Saturday night emanating from the station’s studios in Sanford. |
