UNCG Students Will Study Business in France

Students at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro will have the opportunity to study business with a distinctly Parisian flavor.

The Center for Global Business Education and Research at the Bryan School of Business and Economics will return again to France for its study abroad program, Experience Business Abroad.

The program, from Oct. 9 to 16, will take students to the City of Light to hear lecturers from international companies such as industrial gas distributor Air Liquide, and international organizations including the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the German-French Chamber of Commerce.

“The program combines the study of international business with a cross-cultural immersion program,” said Dr. Riad Ajami, who will lead the trip. “Sessions are led by some of the leading academicians, and the leading economic and political experts in Europe who can provide the latest information and knowledge on doing business internationally as it relates to France, the European Union and its relationship to the United States.”

Ajami is the director for the Center for Business Education and Research and is also the Charles A. Hayes Distinguished Professor of Business at the Bryan School.

Experience Business Abroad is open to all students, alumni and members of the business community. The program costs $1,600, including a $400 non-refundable deposit that is applicable to the fee.

For more information about the Experience Business Abroad program to France, call Rodney Ouzts at the Center for Global Business at (336) 334-4346.
