Local Student Serves as Senate Page

The North Carolina Senate was honored recently to have Courtney Ham, a student at Union Pines High School, serve as a page.

She is the daughter of Pamela Gannt and Charles Ham of Vass.

Sen. Tony Rand sponsored Ham.

Pages are appointed by the Senate President Pro Tempore Marc Basnight.

For decades the Senate of the N.C. General Assembly has relied on the service of pages, who provide invaluable help by delivering bills and amendments for senators during daily Senate sessions, running errands and helping staff members manage offices at the Legislative Building.
