Cameron Student Receives Degrees from John & Wales

John & Wales University, America’s Career University, held May commencement ceremonies at each of its five national campuses.

TaShawn McKinnon of Cameron received an associate degree in culinary arts from the College of Culinary Arts at the Charleston Campus ceremony. Nationwide, a total of 8,224 undergraduate degrees, 528 graduate degrees, and 12 honorary doctorate degrees were awarded.

Presenting the keynote address was Nathalie Dupree, celebrity chef and host of PBS’s “Nathalie Dupree’s Comfortable Entertaining.”

She was honored with an honorary Doctor of Culinary Arts.

Johnson & Wales — America’s Career University was founded in 1914. It is a private, non-profit, accredited institution offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business, food service, hospitality and technology.
