Deputies arrested Marshall Everette Northcutt, 22, of 533 Ring Road, and charged him with one count of felony attempted breaking and entering, Sher-iff Lane Carter said. He was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond. His first court hearing is July 21.
Deputies first responded to the Midway Grill Restaurant on May 7 after receiving a call from Daniel Lonnie Cheek, who lives on Lonnie Road in Carthage. Cheek told deputies he found that one of the doors to his business had been damaged the night before. He discovered the damage the morning of May 7 before he opened for the day.
Drug Arrest: A search conducted by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit of a Robbins area home July 7 resulted in the arrest of a Carthage woman.
Sharon Valk Lucas, 49, of 12199 N.C. Highway 24/27 was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a written promise to appear.
After conducting the search, officers reported seizing 130 grams of marijuana, one marijuana plant, eight grams of powder cocaine, $148 in cash, a handgun and several items of drug paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the drugs is $2,382.
Auto Theft: Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Robbins woman Friday and charged her with stealing a motor vehicle owned by a Star woman.
Misty Renee Hill McBride, 20, of 1246 Browns Mill Road in Robbins has been charged with one count of felony larceny of a motor vehicle, one count of felony breaking, entering and larceny of a motor vehicle, two counts of felony possession of stolen goods and one count of misdemeanor damage to personal property. She was released on an unsecured bond with a first court date set for July 21.
Deputies responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle on June 26 submitted by Edna Edwards, who lives on Browns Mill Road in Star. She told officers that her vehicle was taken from a residence on Browns Mill Road in Robbins the weekend before.
Assault on a Female: Deputies arrested Harvey Goode, 49, a resident of Diversicare Assisted Living in Seven Lakes, on July 7 and charged him with assault on a female and communicating threats.
His is accused of trying to take money from an 83-year-old woman on July 3.
Goode was jailed with secured bond set at $500. His first court date set is set for Sept. 9.
Deputies responded after receiving a call July 7 from Brenda Boroughs, business manager of Diversicare Assisted Living, regarding an assault on a female resident.
Boroughs told deputies that on July 3 a man entered the room of Donnie Mae Poole Ingram while she was sleeping, grabbed her arm and threatened to hurt her if she did not give him any money, according to a sheriff’s report.
Ingram told the man she didn’t have any money so he left the room. She was not hurt during the incident and did not require any medical treatment.
Cocaine Arrest: Sheriff’s deputies arrested a West End man Thursday and charged him with possession of cocaine.
James Dwaine Clemons, 42, of 305 Round Oak Court has been charged with felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges stemmed from a traffic stop made August 18, 2003.
He was jailed with secured bond set at $10,000. His first court hearing is set for July 22.
