Cameron Teachers Shine Like Stars

Teachers and assistants at Cameron Elementary School feel appreciated year round, however, the week of May 3-7 made all feel even more thankful for the very supportive staff and parents in this community.

The PTA has celebrated with more than just words of thankfulness as they were treated with breakfast on Monday, lunch catered by Mr. B’s on Tuesday, finger foods and snacks in the lounge on Wednesday and Thursday, and followed by “Death by Chocolate” on Friday.

The lunch on Tuesday was especially pleasant, says a spokesman, since parents volunteered to supervise classes in the lunchroom while their teachers enjoyed adult conversation and good food in the media center. Creating a special atmosphere in the media center by decorating with black and yellow table cloths, scattered stars, and shimmering, helium balloons made an ordinary day quite eventful.

Each teacher and assistant received a pin with children’s hands reaching for the stars and engraved with the words “Our School: Where No Child Is Left Behind.”
