48th Robbins Farmers Day Is Next Weekend

Robbins Farmers Day Makes Top 20: The Southeast Tourism Society has again selected Robbins Farmers Day, July 31 through Aug. 2, as one of the top events in the Southeast in July.

The largest horse parade on the east coast — more than 600 horses — highlights this celebration, plus the Bull Blast Rodeo, the Carolina Mule Association Mule Show, arts & crafts, lawn mower pull, and lots of live music. The events begin on Thursday night with music from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and continue through Saturday practically non-stop.

Other activities include the Pottery Auction Friday at 7:30 p.m., fireworks Friday night at 10:15 p.m., the Farmers Day Parade Saturday at 11 a.m., and the Green Beret Parachute Jump Team Saturday at 1:30 p.m. For a complete schedule visit the Web site or call (910)464-1290.
