Graham’s Great Resume
Pilot columnist Lynn Rhoades in her column in the July 4 Opinion section, did a real service to readers when she detailed Florida U.S. Sen. Graham's professional experiences and hence his credentials that support him as her choice for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination.
Many voters not familiar with the senator, myself included, had to be impressed with his resume. Similar articles on the other candidates would certainly be welcomed.
Unfortunately, short of the repeal of the 22nd amendment and the nomination of Bill Clinton, I don't believe any Democrat stands a chance against Bush. The dominant theme in American political life is protection of the nation and its people against world terrorism, and the windshield cowboy from Crawford, Texas is considered by a majority of Americans to be the premier bounty hunter.
Moreover, if we happen to stumble onto Bin Laden or Saddam before the ’04 election, even Clinton wouldn't win.
