Officers searched the residence of Jeffrey Bernard Walker in the 200 block of Longbrook Road. Walker was wanted on outstanding warrants involving drug charges and child support violations, according to a Sheriff’s Department report.
Walker, 32, was using the name Calvin Harris, and had a driver’s license picturing him with the name of Harris, according to the report.
Officers reported seizing more than a pound of marijuana, three grams of cocaine, three handguns and $844 in cash. One of the handguns was a stolen .22 caliber from Hope Mills, deputies said.
The Sheriff’s Department estimated the street value of the drugs at $4,000.
Officers charged Walker with possession of cocaine with intent to sell or deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver, felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of maintaining a place to keep a controlled substance and possession of a stolen firearm.
Walker was placed in the Moore County Jail under a $200,000 secured bond.
Drug Charges: Aberdeen police arrested a 32-year-old Pinebluff man Thursday and charged him with possession of cocaine.
Jerome King Jr. is also accused of running away from police after they pulled his vehicle over. His driver’s license had previously been revoked.
According to arrest warrants, officers also found a small amount of marijuana and a set of digital scales in the car.
Officers charged King with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, driving with license revoked, resisting arrest, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
King signed a written promise to appear in court. His first hearing is Thursday.
Pinehurst police arrested a Shannon man Saturday on cocaine charges. Officers charged Randy Lee Whitaker, 27, with felony possession of cocaine. Whitaker was jailed under a $1,000 secured bond. His first court hearing is July 16.
Heroin Charges: Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Carthage woman Thursday and charged her with possession of heroin.
Deputies charged Jennifer Lynn Cummings, 30, was released into her parents’ custody. Her first court hearing is July 23.
Fraud: Aberdeen police arrested a 50-year-old Atlanta man and charged him obtaining money from Checks to Cash using checks printed on a home computer.
Larry Stanley Leakes is accused of passing eight of the counterfeit checks last November and December of last year.
Police charged Leakes with eight counts of obtaining property by false pretense. He was jailed with a $7,000 secured bond. His first court hearing is July 17.
Aberdeen police arrested a Pinebluff woman on July 1 and charged her with forging a check on June 21. Shalena Nikkea Hill, 21, is accused of writing a counterfeit check to Checks to Cash. Hill was released with a $3,000 unsecured bond. Her first court hearing is Friday.
