Winners of the Friday Duplicate Club on July 12 at the Southern Pines Civic Center were: N/S First – Lois Hook and Jinks Brockwell; Second – Ruth Lawrence and Mid Camgros; Third – Wini McLaughlin and Pat DuPrey; E/W First – Helen Mitchell and Betty Beemer; Second – Doris Gordon and Chleyon Brown; Third – Collie Broderick and Marge Hawkins.

Overall winners were Helen Mitchell and Betty Beemer.

The Bridge Center

The Bridge Center is located on Route 5 about half way between Pinehurst and Aberdeen. Turn on Ridgeline Road at the Air Specialties’ time and temperature sign, and we are just around the curve at 197D. Games are held every weekday at 1 pm. Sunday games start at 1:30 pm. No game on Saturday. Friday’s game for Non-Life Masters (0 – 500) to appeal to the novice/intermediate player.

Night classes featuring the Audrey Grant or Easy Bridge systems can be arranged through Nancy Dressing (295-8871). Starting Tuesday, July 2, 1 p.m. a non-life-master game will be held. This game will be for players with less than 500 MP and are not Life Masters. This has been a very popular game and we invite all NLMs to join us for a fun afternoon of Bridge.
