Truth and Bias

Responding to Steve Dunn’s “Liberal Bias” letter (Dec. 28), I am amused that he believes that only he, or those he agrees with, tell the truth. Disagreeing is untruthful.

As to the liberal-dominated media, Dunn says, “not so.” That is because the media print what he claims to be truth, and why should anyone attack what he claims to be truthful?

His last paragraph concedes that there is bias in news because people are biased. He might agree that the reporters, who are people and may be biased in writing articles, must be concerned with the liberal or conservative policies of the publishers who allow them to make a living.

I am truthful. Therefore, those who think, talk and respond like me are also truthful. If I am a liberal, any writing or thought that I disagree with is untruthful.

Taking “God” out of our prayer or eliminating “In God We Trust” from our coins is certainly not a conservative view. Mr. Dunn, the ACLU needs your voice.
