Morton Hosts Regional Meeting
Jo-Anne Morton of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Southern Pines recently hosted a regional meeting. Morton was chosen to take a leadership role in the fall training meetings. “Helping conduct the training meetings is a tremendous responsibility,” Morton said. “The value of bringing office administrators together to learn and share experience is incredible. It’s a great exchange of ideas. “I was honored to share my experience with other office administrators as host of these meetings. It enabled me to hone my leadership skills as well as represent the Southern Pines Edward Jones office.” Dedicated to serving individual investors exclusively, Edward Jones is the largest firm in the nation in terms of the number of office locations. Each office is run by two people — an investment representative and a branch office administrator. Because of the firm’s unique structure, branch office administrators partner with the investment representative to manage the branch office, including working with customers and promoting services. Edward Jones traces its roots to 1871 and currently serves more than six million clients. The firm offers its clients a variety of investments including certificates of deposit, taxable and non-taxable bonds, stocks and mutual funds. The largest firm in the nation in terms of branch offices, Edward Jones currently has more than 9,000 offices in the United States and through its affiliates, in Canada and the United Kingdom. Plans call for expansion to 10,000 offices in 2004. |
