Animal Groups Should Unite

Regarding the letter from Anthony Lennon (Pet Groups Need Help), Sunday, Jan. 4:

Mr. Lennon seems to separate the people who “operate animal shelters and … create organizations to address the animal problem” from “those who regularly denigrate and deride.”

Unfortunately, as I see it, many of the former become the latter as so many of the organizations and people associated with them believe that only their particular one is worthy of the public’s help.

I hope there comes a time when all of them recognize that the aim is the same, “No More Homeless Animals,” and work together.

In the meantime, choose one you wish to help, financially and/or as a volunteer, but keep your thoughts to yourself about the others.
