Zoo Initiates Mammoth Guarantee

Visitors to the North Carolina Zoological Park will see either rhinoceroses or elephants on their next zoo visit or receive a free return admission.

Beginning immediately and running through the end of February, the new policy — “Mammoth Guarantee” — ensures visitors that they will see at least one of the two species. If neither animal is on exhibit, visitors receive the free return admission through October 2003.

The new guarantee replaces the park’s old policy of half-price admission during the months of December, January and February.

The North Carolina Zoo is an agency of the N.C. Department of Environment & Natural Resources, William G. Ross Jr., Secretary; Michael F. Easley, Governor.
