This improves the team’s record to 10-1 overall and a 6-1 in the conference.
The Patriots scored the first points of the game using team defensive pressure to force turnovers and 20 steals by the Patriots. Star Wilson provided nine of the steals for the Patriots.
“Defense is one of the reasons that we have been so successful this year,” Patriots coach Darla Watson said. “The other reasons for the Patriots’ success so far this year is hard work and listening to me ... I have a real good
group of girls this year.”
The Patriots were led in scoring by Letesha Taylor with 23 points. Wilson added eight assists to go with her nine steals, while Stephanie Carter lead the team in rebounding with 12.
The Patriots travel to Scotland County Friday.
