Today (Friday, Feb. 17) my daughter came to take me to a 10 o’clock appointment with my doctor. She asked, “Where are your squirrels?”

They were a memorial to my daughter for all the love shown during her illness. Vicky loved everyone, and everyone loved Vicky. This was my thanks to them.

Many neighbors said they had difficulty at night seeing the entrance to the Sherwood Forest Condo complex, so I bought two concrete squirrels and two concrete tree stumps to mark the entrance.

During the night of Feb. 16-17, the squirrels were stolen.

If anyone has any information or saw anything or anyone who may have stolen them, please call the Southern Pines Police Department at 692-7031 or 692-2732. Or perhaps someone will return them to their place at the entrance to the Sherwood Forest Condos.
