Offer Solutions

No, Paul Dunn, history is not repeating itself, or at least in the way you chose to compare two historical events.

History is repeating itself in that supporters of the Democratic Party continue to spew hate and doubt on this administration.

I don’t think President Bush’s Social Security reform is set in stone, but I do think he would appreciate fellow politicians to offer up their ideas, come to the table to work, and try and solve a problem that is in dire need of fixing.

Now is the time for both parties to come together and fix something that is definitely outdated.

Just as we update our laws, update our Constitution, update our automobiles, so must we update the dinosaur Social Security, or it, too, may become extinct.

President Bush has given notice that Social Security is on the endangered species list, and is taking action. You Democrats can sit back and criticize, or come to the table and work out a plan that will keep Social Security alive.

As you cry out failure and doom, our party has worked hard to repair what needs fixing. I would suggest that you and your party join us in making America better.

You have your right to an opinion, Paul Dunn, but rather than just be negative, why don’t you offer up some solutions?
