There was a nice juxtapositioning of the clerical and secular on the Opinion page of the Feb. 9 Pilot.

On the one hand, we had the Rev. Grady Perryman admitting to some doubt in his knowledge of God’s will on every matter; on the other, we had the always stern Mr. Schoen — a writer suffused with rectitude and comfortable with the absence of doubt as to the nature and source of all secular evil.
