I have no problem with Stan Hunt’s right to create a cartoon (Feb 14) depicting Calvary Baptist Church as war mongers because they propose to educate their children in gun safely. I am extremely disappointed that your paper would present such a slanderous and hypocritical point of view.

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would object to gun safety training that can save many children from dying unnecessarily. I personally support this program and hope Southern Pines Town Council will agree.
