Trae Brookins, a regional representative for College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC), will present the basics of financial aid, including the various types of aid available (both federal and state) and how to apply for aid.
He will also provide information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required for all types of federal aid. There will be a question and answer period following the presentation.
All area high school seniors, juniors, and their parents are invited to attend. Friends of the library will provide refreshments.
CFNC is the one place to go for help in planning, applying, and paying for college.
From the CFNC Web site, you can link to more than 100 North Carolina colleges, apply online for college admissions and research careers. Learn about scholarships, grants, loans, and the tax-advantaged NC College Savings Program, and apply online for financial aid. All their services are free.
