Arts Council Presents ‘Snow White’
The Arts Council of Moore County and Carter’s Fabricare will present “Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs” performed by Theatre IV on Sunday, March 2, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Sunrise Theater (250 NW Broad St., Southern Pines). This musical adaptation of the classic Grimm’s fairy tale features a script with lovable characters portrayed by an ensemble of live actors and wonderful puppets. Follow along as Snow White meets her pint-sized friends, takes the apple from the Evil Queen, receives a kiss from the Prince, and lives happily ever after. This faithful rendition of the fairy tale will inspire young audiences to read the original.
Theatre IV, founded in 1975, has been internationally acclaimed for excellence as a theatre for young audiences. February 1st, 2002 Theatre IV’s production of Buffalo Soldier was performed, by request, at the Pentagon to open their celebration of Black History Month. The company performs live for nearly 2 million students, parents and teachers each year throughout 33 states and the District of Columbia.
The show is recommended for grades K-5, and is supported by a Grassroots Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts.
