Fisher Takes South Carolina Honor

Gloria Barrett Fisher, 17, daughter of Ray and LaRue Fisher of Pendleton, S.C., has been selected as a finalist for South Carolina’s 22nd annual Homecoming Queen Selection to be held March 16-17 at the Executive Park Marriott in Charlotte.

She is the Pendleton High School Homecoming Queen.

Fisher is the granddaughter of Gloria Fisher of Southern Pines and the late Matt Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lewis of Asheboro.

She is a senior at Pendleton High School where she is vice-president of the senior class, on the varsity and competition cheerleading teams, plays varsity softball and is a member of the National Honor Society.

South Carolina’s 2002 Homecoming Queen will receive a scholarship plus an expense paid trip to the National Finals to compete with queens from other states for the national title.
