The camp will run from 9a.m.—noon. Lunch will be from noon until 1 p.m. Then from 1p.m.—3 p.m., players interested in trying out for the team will be evaluated for their skill levels. Hitting, bunting, running, fielding and attitude are all areas that will be judged.
The cost for the camp and tryout is $25. This cost goes for any fees and insurance for both teams. Everyone, regardless of age, who would like to increase their knowledge in the sport of fastpitch softball, is invited.
Once again this year the Renegades will sponsor two teams. They will compete in the 12-and-under and the 16-and-under age groups.
The Renegades are Moore County’s first fastpitch program. This will be the sixth year of competition for these girls. Coach Sammy McNeill has spearheaded this organization along with a lot of help from other volunteers.
Anyone interested in supporting these young women should call Renegades Softball at 673-4449 or Jenny Garner at 948-4668.
