‘Stuart Little’ Children’s Show At Sunrise This Weekend
The Arts Council of Moore County and show sponsor BB&T Insurance Services present Theater IV performing the classic tale “The Big Adventures of Stuart Little.” The show date is Saturday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. at Sunrise Theater (250 NW Broad St., Southern Pines). Tickets, at $3 for ACMC members and $5 for nonmembers, are available in advance at Campbell House (482 E. Connecticut Ave., Southern Pines) and at the door.
Written by E.B. White, “The Big Adventures of Stuart Little” is the classic tale of a young and noble mouse who is born into the Frederick C. Little family in New York City. Although he is quite small, Stuart has the indomitable spirit of a giant. Whether exploring with his human brother, escaping the family cat, sailing model ships on the Central Park Lake, or searching for his friend and soul mate, the lovely bird Margalo, Stuart jumps headfirst into adventures big enough to match any child.
The Theater IV touring company is no stranger to Moore County. Last year, the theater company performed the classic tale, “The Frog Prince,” and they have also performed in some Moore County schools. Theater IV is the second largest theater for young audiences in the nation and has been offering innovative, educational theater to young audiences since 1975. Their productions are presented to over 1,000,000 children and adults across the United States.
The show is recommended for kids in grades kindergarten-5. For tickets and additional information, call the Arts Council at 692-4356. |
