“Endodontic Excellence” was held Nov. 18 and 19 at the Georgia headquarters of Practical Endodontics.

Throughout the two-day session, Grimshaw furthered her skills in the latest techniques in endodontic therapy.

A root canal is generally performed to clean the chamber of an infected tooth root, which often prevents removal of the tooth.

The curriculum focused on diagnosis and proven methods to provide patients with in-creased comfort while reducing time in treatment. The course was conducted by renowned Endodontic Specialist Dr. Kit Weathers and was accredited by the Academy of General Dentistry.

“Today’s root canals are greatly improved and truly don’t deserve the reputation they have,” Grimshaw said. “This course proves how successful endodontic therapy can occur while providing patients with a positive experience.”
