Cremisio Receives Commission
CONTRIBUTED
Justin M. Cremisio of Cameron was one of five Appalachian State University students who were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during a Dec. 10 ceremony at the school.
He and his classmates will soon begin officer basic course training and then report to their permanent duty assignments, where they will become platoon leaders in charge of 30 to 40 U.S. Army soldiers.
Cremisio, a management major at the university, will join the Field Artillery Corps.
Lt. Col. Douglas Jett, chairman of the Department of Military Science and Leadership at Appalachian, administered the oath of commission to the students.
