Kathy Westover, who had been serving as interim executive director for Foundations of FirstHealth since the resignation of Terry Mohr, has been officially named president.

She took over as president Nov. 21 and is settling in.

“We are very happy that Kathy as accepted the position to lead the Foundations of FirstHealth,” said Charles T. Frock, president and CEO of FirstHealth of the Carolinas. “We conducted a nationwide search and are pleased to say nobody is better positioned to take our Founda-tions to the next level.

“Kathy’s knowledge of the organization, the community and network of relationships made her the perfect person for the job. We look forward to the Foundation’s continued success under her leadership.”

Westover has been with Moore Regional Hospital since 1988. She transferred to the foundation in 1990, where she continued to move up the ladder. In 1996, she became the director of development.

She helped lead two major capital campaigns: In Love and Service and FirstHealth Hospice Endowment. She’s currently working with the Stepping Stones capital campaign.

It is that legacy of support that has kept FirstHealth at the forefront of medical excellence.”
