Watch Night
Frye’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church will hold a watch night service on Friday, Dec. 31, at 9 p.m.
Breakfast will be served following the service.
The church is located at 1972 Lobelia Rd., Vass.

New Year’s Eve
God’s Love in Action Deliverance Ministries will have a New Year’s Eve service at 10 p.m. Friday.

New Year’s Eve Services
New Year’s Eve services will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, Dec. 31, beginning at 10 p.m. The Rev. Cedric Maddox of Charlotte will be the guest speaker for the evening. The church is located at 315 South Gaines Street in Southern Pines. Joshua J. Haire is pastor.
New Location
The members of Burning Bush Christian Church announce that the church relocated to 36471 U.S. 1 South in Aberdeen.
For the past two years, the church has been located at 404 Sandhills Blvd. in Aberdeen across from Aberdeen Elementary School. The congregation started with just four people in a house that was converted into a sanctuary.
The new building is located across from the Sunset Motel. (Some may remember the building as Roslyn’s Restaurant or Nina’s Classic Cuisine.)
Burning Bush Christian Church is a nondenominational church. Sunday school is held at 10 a.m. with worship service at 11 a.m. Wednesday night Bible study is at 7 p.m.

Concert Set
As part of its 2004-2005 United States tour, World Help presents “Children of the World” International Children’s Choir.
This choir comprised of 16 children from five different countries, will be performing at Seven Lakes Baptist Church, 1015 Seven Lakes Dr., on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 6:30 p.m.
These orphaned and disadvantaged children are from India, Nepal, Burma, Uganda, Brazil and the Philippines. They are in the midst of a 10-month concert tour in the United States. They have performed at places like Disney World, Lego Land, and the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif.
This one-hour concert will feature several songs, in both English and native dialects, as well as personal testimonies. Also part of the concert is a video presentation, featuring footage of the children’s home countries.
These children represent thousands of children in World Help’s Child Sponsoring Program around the world who suffer hardship, hunger and disease.
“The purpose of ‘Children of the World’ is to generate compassion and inspire individuals to get involved in the World Help Child Sponsorhsip Program, helping to change the world ... one child at a time,” said a spokesman.
