Annual Christmas Open House Scheduled This Weekend
The annual Shaw House Properties Christmas Open House will be held Friday, Dec. 10, through Sunday, Dec. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Moore County Historical Association. There is no admission charge.
Shaw House is located in Southern Pines at the intersection of Broad Street and Morganton Road. Additional information is available at www.moorehistory.com.
Three houses dating from the late 1700s and listed on the National Register are grouped on this site. Members of the association have decorated the historic houses in the traditional manner using local greenery. In the dining room of the Shaw House, guests will be served homemade refreshments and cider. At various times during the weekend there will be crafters and musicians to entertain the visitors. Docents will be on hand to provide information about the houses. |
