Happy to Be Here

My wife and I have lived in a number of communities that have existing and filed R&R’s (reservations and restrictions) and/or town/village ordinances, but it never ceases to amaze me that there are always people who move into these areas but don’t want to be governed by the existing rules that most everyone else has agreed to live by.

People move into these areas and usually haven’t done their homework as to what the existing restrictions are. They figure that they will do as they please and when asked to comply with the law complain that the rules and restrictions are unfair and for some unexplained reason should not apply to them.

If these folks who are complaining spent half the time researching the laws, covenants, and restrictions governing the area they are considering, prior to actually moving into that area, they could save themselves a lot of heartache and also be much better neighbors.

Whispering Pines is a wonderful community with fantastic people and neighbors, and we love living here, but we have found that there are always a few malcontents that the community would be better off without.
