The Ruth Pauley Lecture Series begins its 19th season on Thursday, Sept. 15, with a talk by Major Gen. Sidney Shachnow (retired) titled “Hope and Honor.” The lecture will chronicle Shachnow's life as a Holocaust survivor, Vietnam veteran, and commander of the Green Berets.
