Anti-War Rhetoric
It pains me deeply when I see the media coverage of those individuals who espouse antiwar rhetoric. Yes, the Bush administration lied to Americans and to the U.N. members in order to justify the Iraq invasion, but the fact is that we are there, and there is no turning back the clock.
Those misguided folks who say they support the troops, but not the war, are encouraging the insurgents to increase American casualties in order to cause even more antiwar activities here at home. Guess what! It worked in Vietnam, and these insurgents are not stupid — not by a long shot.
Now is the time to not only support our military, but the mission as well. The time and place to exercise one’s dissatisfaction with events is the first Tuesday of November at the polls. Congressional supporters of this administration’s policies will be coming up for re-election between now and the next general election. That is the time to send this president a message.
