We were without power and phone for nine hours following the severe electrical storm that caused serious power outages in Moore County. By using our newly acquired cell phone, we were able to begin by calling Sprint and Progress Energy, only to be frustrated during an emergency-type situation with the irritating menus that exist in our world of today, as we desperately tried to reach a human voice.
After what seemed like an eternity, we reached a Sprint “human voice” in Illinois!.
We have lived here in Pinehurst Trace, an over-55 active adult community, for 16 years, and we are pleased to be a part of an annexed residential neighborhood.
This is the second time during this period that we have been recipients of thoughtful and well organized, dependable people at 911, and the police and fire departments in Pinehurst.
We also wish to express our thanks and appreciation of our thoughtful neighbors that evening.
