Parenting Workshops Set

Moore County Cooperative Extension Service in conjunction with Moore County Schools has scheduled four workshops in September at the Jesus as King of Deliverance Church, 550 Ashemont Rd., Aberdeen.

Karen M. Wicker, family and consumer science agent and a North Carolina Certified Parenting Educator with the Cooperative Extension Service will conduct the workshops for parents and caregivers of young children who wish to learn and try new skills in nurturing and guiding their children.

Topics to be covered and scheduled dates are: “What Do You Do With the Mad You Feel?” Wednesday, Sept. 8, “Take Back Your Family Time.” Wednesday, Sept. 15. “Growing Healthy Children,” Wednesday, Sept. 22 and “Kids and TV,” Wednesday, Sept. 29.

Workshops begin at 6 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. Workshops are free and childcare and refreshments will be provided.

To register for the Aberdeen Workshops, call Wicker at 947-3188 or Linda Hubbard, volunteer coordinator of Moore County Schools at 947-2342.
