Local Peaches Still Plentiful

Peaches continue to pour into markets in the Sandhills area.

The Montgomery County Center of the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service reports a good supply of late summer peaches as well as apples and vegetables.

Peach varieties opening this week include Ryan Sun, Big Red, Sweet Sue, Flame Prince, Laurol, Gala and Scarlet Snow (a white flesh variety).
