Two Women Spend Art Residency in Vermont

Ann Campbell of Seven Lakes and Phyllis Lambert of Robbins recently spent a two-week residency at Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vt.

Vermont Studio Center offers residencies for both artists and writers. Lambert was awarded a fellowship and Campbell was awarded a grant for a two-week residency.

Visual artists must present a portfolio of up to 20 slides and writers are asked to submit a portion of the manuscript on which they are working prior to receiving grants or fellowships.

While there, Lambert and Campbell mingled with writers and artists from all over the world, participating in readings, presentations, critiques and seminars relating to their particular genres.

The center is located in the valley of the Green Mountains and beside the Gehone River, less than an hour from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
