The Sandhills Chapter of the Military Officers Association (MOAA), formerly TROA, is sponsoring a JROTC Scholarship Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Country Club of Whispering Pines. All proceeds go to support the MOAA JROTC Scholarship Fund.

Registration is at noon with a shotgun start at l p.m.

Form your own foursome or sign up as an individual. Provide your handicap, name of your home course with phone number; and the committee will pair you with other players. The format of play is scramble and captain’s choice. Mulligan tickets may be purchased.

The entry fee is $70 per person which includes golf, cart, dinner, and prizes. Dinner only is $25 per person.

Hole-in-one prizes from Toby Wells Buick include a Buick Century, 36 dozen Nike golf balls, and a set of Nike Irons 3-PW. Wright Travel will provide two round trip air tickets to any destination in the United States. Prizes will be given for the longest drive and longest putt. Additional prizes including golf packages and golf accessories will be awarded.
