Man Charged in Aug. 2 Fatal Accident in Cary

Police in Cary have charged a 20-year-old Colorado man in connection with an accident that killed two Moore County residents Aug. 2.

Police charged James Hebb, of Silverthorne, Colo., with three counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle. Frances Darlene Hernandez, 29, and Frances Louise Porter, 47, both of Jackson Springs, died in the wreck, as did another person in their vehicle whom police have not identified.

Hebb’s van ran into the other vehicle. It was on the side of the road, in the breakdown lane for unknown reasons. The car burst into flames, and those inside perished.
