Grand Opening Set

Allison Crissman has moved her Stagehouse Consignments & Gifts inventory and added new art and handmade jewelry to a new, larger location at 275 N.E. Broad Street (next to the ABC store) in Southern Pines.

The grand opening of Allison Crissman Designs will be Saturday at the new location.

The store will have fine women’s resale clothing and a larger selection of art and handmade jewelry, both by Allison herself and by Christy Clark, who formerly owned and operated Silver Wear, she said.

The shop hours are 10:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

“Christy has decided to be a fulltime mother, and I will be offering her jewelry at the new location,” Crissman said.

The Clark jewelry store operated for eight years near Crissman’s new shop. Crissman started Stagehouse Consignments & Gifts two years ago next to Gulley’s Garden Center at the opposite end of town.

“I’ll have twice the amount of space. I outgrew the other space,” Crissman said. A specialty will continue to be handcrafted purses called Lucy Bags. The customer may pick the fabric, and the purse will be made from it.

Crissman is a graduate of Union Pines High School and holds a degree in business from Appalachian State University.

“I am dedicating my business to the memory of my mother, Linda Hartsell,” Crissman said. “She was my inspiration.”
