Kent Jacobs, 42, disappeared March 10 from the Colonial Heights area of Hope Mills. There is a $15,000 reward for information that leads to his return.
If Jacobs is still in the area (he disappeared near Interstate 95) his family believes he could be in Hoke County or the Sandhills because he was last seen with people who traveled to Hoke County that night.
The family believes Jacobs may be in the Sandhills simply because of the many roads that run through this area.
Jacobs is mentally retarded and after 48 hours without his medication he would have become very disoriented. His sister, Jackie Jacobs, said there is no way he would have been able to find his way home.
Jacobs is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weights 150 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a Harley-Davidson sweatshirt, blue jeans and black Reebok shoes.
Anyone with information can contact the Jacobs family through the Web site www.hallontheweb.com/kentjacobs, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department at (910)353-1500, or Crime Stoppers at (910) 483-8477.
Jackie Jacobs founded The Kent Jacobs Foundation after her brother’s disappearance to help and counsel other families in similar situations.
