Both Hands on Wheel

Hel-LO! Teenagers should not be driving down the road and talking on cell phones at the same time.

Neither should their parents, for that matter. But putting inexperienced drivers behind the wheel and then letting them distract themselves by chatting with their friends while on the move is, like, lame!

North Carolina’s Child Fatality Task Force recommends a law requiring new teenage drivers to keep both hands on the wheel instead of wrapping one of them around a telephone.

Is that a good idea? Well, DUH!
