Junior League Hosts ‘Rhinestone Roundup’ Saturday

The Junior League of Moore County will be hosting its spring fund-raiser, “Rhinestone Roundup,” to raise project funds for its supported charities and programs, such as Moore County Literacy Council, SOS Crates, Prancing Horse, Arts in the Schools and Moore County After School Programs.

The event will be held Saturday, April 16, from 7 p.m. to midnight, at National Golf Club. The cost is $45 per ticket (tax deductible).

“Enjoy fine southwestern cuisine, dance to music by The Cowboys and partake in the extensive silent auction and several raffles.” said a spokesman.

One of the live auction items is a “Millionaire’s Private Getaway to Florida” that includes a plane ride to a barrier island in Florida and accomodations as well as access to an exclusive island club.

“Ladies, wear your cocktail dress and rhinestones,” said the spokesman. “Gents, your tux and ten-gallon are optional.”

Tickets may be purchased from any active Junior League member.

For additional information, or to purchase tickets by phone, contact Mary Ballard at (910) 695-3410. Tickets will also be available at the door.

“Join us for a boot-scootin’ good time and help the Junior League support the needs of children in our community,” said the spokesman.
