This is the first meeting hosted by Seagrove Orchids. Admission is free, but those attending are asked to bring their own chair.
There will be orchid sales and educational talks as well as door prizes. There will be auctions during the day, offering a chance to obtain premium orchids at good prices.
“We are pleased to announced that the new hybrid, Phal Yin-Tun Wag, will be available for sale at the event,” says Linda Thorne of Seagrove Orchids. “This offers us a chance to raise funds for Phalaenopsis research at Texas A&M. This orchid was named in honor of one of the most respected and loved Phalaenopsis researchers of our day.”
Orchid experts Molly Dugger, Pat Brennan and H.P. Norton will all bring their top quality orchids to sell that day, and will speak at various times during the day.
“You may wish to talk hybridizing or culture with any of these experts,” says Thorne.
