CCC will make the presentation during the annual Child Care Recognition Dinner on Wednesday, June 2, at Sandhills Community College.
Speaking for CCC, Sheila Regan said CCC is asking the community to nominate a provider deserving of this award. There are 383 child care providers in Moore County.
“If you feel the provider caring for your child should be provider of the year, please write a statement telling why you think this person is a great provider including your favorite story about this person,” she said.
Responses should be sent to Child Care Connections, P.O. Box 1139, Southern Pines, NC, 28388 no later than May 14.
The award is named in honor of Betty Rounds, a distinguished instructor in early childhood development education at Sandhills Community College. Rounds, who died two years ago, also served on the Southern Pines Town Council.
