Two players share the 72-hole scoring record for the U.S. Women’s Open, 272 — Annika Sorenstam (1996) and Juli Inkster (1999).

The last player to birdie the final hole to win the U.S. Women’s Open was Lauri Merten, 1993.

The winner of the first U.S. Women’s Open in 1946 was Patty Berg.
